Judicial body resolves 80 appeals in local council elections

BAGHDAD, January 9 — The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) said on Tuesday that a judicial body has resolved 80 appeals related to the December 18 governorate election results, with final rulings forwarded to the Commission.

IHEC spokesperson Jumana Al-Ghalai, stated:

The judicial body for the elections has settled 80 appeals in the governorate council elections. The finalized appeals were sent to the Commission yesterday.
