National security advisor discusses information exchange with French Ambassador

BAGHDAD, January 7 — National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji discussed today, Sunday, with the French Ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevallier, the exchange of information and cooperation in the field of counterterrorism.

Today, Sunday, National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji welcomed the outgoing French Ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevallier, in his office to mark the end of his mission.

The meeting included a review of the overall political and security situations at the international and regional levels. Discussions also focused on the continuation of constructive cooperation between Iraq and France, particularly in the areas of counterterrorism, information exchange, and common-interest issues. The aim is to serve the mutual interests of both countries.

Mr. Al-Araji commended the growing relations between Baghdad and Paris, expressing appreciation for Mr. Chevallier’s efforts during his tenure as the French ambassador in Baghdad. He wished him success in his new assignments.
