Darbandikhan Dam restoration project concludes

DARBANDIKHAN, January 8 — Following significant damage sustained during a 2017 earthquake that struck the region, the Darbandikhan Dam underwent  renovations to address damage and restore both safety and electrical components.

Rahman Khani, Director General of Kurdistan Dams, revealed to 964 that the extensive renovation project spanned two years and successfully completed all necessary repairs at a total cost of 2.28 billion dinars.

The renovation project was completed through a collaboration between a Czech company and a local firm, funded by the Kurdistan Regional Government.
