Sadr calls off unified Friday prayer ahead of scheduled date
NAJAF, January 3 – Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of the Sadrist Movement, has made a decisive move to cancel the unified Friday prayer that was set to be held in the centers of the governorates the day after tomorrow. This announcement comes two days before the scheduled gathering.
The news was shared by Saleh al-Iraqi, known as the “Minister of the Leader,” through a Facebook post, stated:

According to the directives of His Eminence the leader Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, may God honor him, it has been decided to cancel the unified Friday prayer that was to be held in the centers of the governorates, which was scheduled for the coming Friday.
