Explosive-laden drone shot down in Erbil

ERBIL, January 2 –The Directorate General of Counter Terrorism (CTD) in Erbil reported the successful destruction of an explosive-laden drone at Erbil International Airport on Tuesday.

The directorate issued a statement saying unnamed militias targeted a military base at the airport that hosts international coalition forces. The drone was reportedly intercepted at 9:52 a.m.
