Iraqi Red Crescent Society sends 25 tons of aid to Gaza via Egyptian air force

BAGHDAD, January 2 — The Iraqi Red Crescent Society announced on Tuesday it dispatched of 25 tons of food and relief supplies to Gaza through the El-Arish airport in Egypt, via the Egyptian Air Force.

The Iraqi Red Crescent Society applauds the sending of 25 tons of food and relief materials to the Palestinian people through the Egyptian Air Force to El-Arish airport in Egypt.

The Society stated in its release, ‘The teams of the Iraqi Red Crescent have sent 25 tons of food and relief materials donated by the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine to El-Arish airport in Egypt, in preparation for handing them over to the Palestinian Red Crescent.’

The statement added, ‘This shipment includes 10 tons of food and relief supplies sent to the Egyptian Red Crescent for delivery to the Palestinian Red Crescent through the Rafah Crossing.’

Aid delivery continues from the Iraqi government through the agreed-upon air and sea bridge with the Egyptian government, coordinated by the Iraqi Red Crescent with its Egyptian and Palestinian counterparts.
