“20% Voter Turnout in Al-Medina District of Basra by Midday”

BASRA, December 18 — Rafid Al-Shawi, the district administrator of Al-Medina in Basra province, reported a 20% voter turnout in the general elections as of midday Monday.

Speaking to 964media, Al-Shawi stated, “Out of 50,000 registered voters in the Al-Medina district, approximately 10,000 have cast their votes by noon. With 19 election centers spread across the district, we are currently observing a turnout of around 20%. Based on these figures, we anticipate the overall turnout in Al-Medina to reach about 30% by the end of the day.”
