Karbala polling stations report 14.7 percent voter turnout at midday

KARBALA, December 18 — The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) in Karbala announced that voter turnout at polling stations had reached 14.7 percent by midday on Monday.

The Commission’s media director, Rizq Al-Asadi, told 964 that the number of voters who cast their ballots had reached 82,129, and local officials anticipated an increase in turnout in the coming hours.
