Erbil hospital figures indicate drop in number of serious traffic accidents

ERBIL, December 5 — New figures from a hospital in the Kurdistan Region’s capital city indicate road accidents are down in recent weeks.

According to data reported by the West Erbil Emergency Hospital, 257 individuals were treated for injuries sustained in traffic accidents during November, down from the previous month when 294 people were admitted for similar cases.

Aside from car-related incidents, the hospital reported an overall drop in admissions to the Emergency Room during November with 12,896 cases recorded compared to 15,167 in October.
