Basra, Maysan, Muthanna and Dhi Qar at 45°C with dust in the west

BAGHDAD — Basra, Maysan, Muthanna and Dhi Qar are forecast at 45°C on Thursday, with winds reaching 40 km/h in western parts of central Iraq and raising dust, the Iraqi Meteorological Organization and Seismology said.

Najaf and Babil are expected at 44°C, Baghdad, Karbala, Diwaniyah and Wasit 43°C, Anbar, Diyala and Salah al-Din 42°C, Nineveh and Kirkuk 41°C, Erbil and Duhok 38°C and Sulaymaniyah 37°C.

Skies will be mostly clear with scattered cloud in the west of the centre and south. Winds are light to moderate and variable at 10 to 20 km/h. Visibility will be 8 to 10 km, dropping to 4 to 6 km where dust is blowing.
