Foreign traveler caught with fake passport at Baghdad airport

BAGHDAD, November 25 — The Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday the arrest of a foreign traveler in possession of a forged passport at Baghdad International Airport.

A statement from the Interior Ministry, received by Network 964, reads:

“In accordance with the directives of the honorable Minister of Interior and under the supervision of the General Director, Brigadier Nasrat Ibrahim Al-Khafaji, the personnel of the Residence and Passports Center at Baghdad International Airport apprehended a foreign traveler carrying a (similar) passport. Verification through document examination and data analysis was conducted, leading to legal actions taken against her, and she was referred to the judiciary.”
