Iraqi ministry orders special classes for students with autism
BAGHDAD, November 23 — Iraq’s Ministry of Education directed all general directorates of education across the country on Wednesday to establish special classes for primary and secondary education for individuals with autism, while ensuring adequate staffing.
The Ministry released a statement that said:
[The Ministry] directed the General Directorates of Education to establish special classes for primary and secondary education for individuals with autism (those capable of learning) in elementary schools, while providing the necessary staffing, with a focus on educational integration.
