Warm and mostly clear Sunday with dust risk developing through the week
BAGHDAD — Sunday will bring clear skies with some cloud cover and a temperature rise of 2 to 4 degrees compared with Saturday, making for relatively hot daytime conditions, the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring said.
Cloud cover will increase over northern areas with chances of light rain in scattered locations. Northwesterly winds of 10–20 km/h will shift overnight to southeasterly in central and southern areas, with gusts potentially raising dust. Visibility will be 8–10 km, dropping to 5–7 km in dusty conditions.
Monday will remain partly cloudy across the country with temperatures continuing to rise slightly and southeasterly winds of 10–20 km/h strengthening in central and southern areas.
Tuesday will be partly cloudy in central and southern Iraq and cloudy in the north, with chances of light rain in northern areas. Winds will strengthen in parts of central and southern Iraq, reaching up to 40 km/h and raising dust.
Wednesday will be mostly clear with some cloud and a slight temperature drop in central and northern regions, remaining stable in the south. Thursday will bring partly cloudy skies and moderate northwesterly winds nationwide.
