Rain to continue in northern areas of Iraq through Friday as temperatures rise
BAGHDAD — Northern Iraq will see rainfall through Friday while central and southern regions remain mostly stable with gradually rising temperatures, the General Authority for Meteorology said Monday.
Monday will be clear with some clouds in central and southern areas, partly cloudy with light to moderate rain in the north. Northwesterly winds may gust to 45 km/h in parts of central and southern Iraq, causing dust.
Tuesday will bring partly to fully cloudy skies in central regions with a chance of light rain in eastern areas, clear to partly cloudy in the south, and cloudy with light to moderate thundery rain in the north. Wednesday will be clear with some clouds in central and southern areas, partly to fully cloudy with light rain in the north and a slight temperature drop. Thursday will see moderate, occasionally thundery rain in northern and eastern parts of the north, cloudy skies with chances of scattered light rain in the south, and clear conditions with some clouds in the centre. Friday will be clear with some clouds in central and southern regions, with light rain continuing in the northern parts of the north.
