Iraq tops list of countries importing Turkish furniture and paper

November 14 — Iraq has topped the list of countries importing Turkish furniture and paper this year, surpassing the United Kingdom and the United States, according to a Turkish industry association.

According to a report from the Turkish state-run news agency, Anadolu Agency, the Furniture, Paper and Forestry Products’ Exporter Association said exports of furniture and paper to the Mediterranean region exceeded $723 million from January through October of this year.

Additionally, exports to the region amounted to $81.74 million in October alone.

Turkey’s total revenue from furniture and paper exports worldwide amounted to $3.9 billion during the first half of the year.
