Two suspects arrested over the theft of mobile phones in Diyala stand in custody after their detention under Article 443 of the Penal Code.
Diyala police arrest two suspects in theft of 50 cellphones
BAQUBA — Diyala police said Sunday they arrested two suspects accused of stealing more than 50 cellphones from a shop in the subdistrict of Jadidat al-Shatt.
Police said the operation followed a report through the Rapid Response Department that a cellphone store had been robbed and 50 devices of various types were taken.
After reviewing surveillance camera footage and listening to witness statements, a security team identified and arrested the suspects, the statement said.
The suspects were presented before an investigative judge, who issued a detention order under Article 443 of the Penal Code.
