Partly cloudy Thursday with light rain in Kurdistan Region

BAGHDAD — Iraq’s General Authority for Meteorology forecast partly cloudy weather for Thursday, with light rain expected in parts of the Kurdistan Region.

Cloud cover is expected to increase at intervals in the northern and northeastern areas, bringing light rain showers.

Temperatures will drop a few degrees in central and northern regions compared to Wednesday, bringing cool conditions. The south will remain stable with mild weather.

Winds will be northwesterly at 10 to 20 km/h, occasionally strengthening to 45 km/h and causing dust in desert areas. Eastern parts of the country will see southeasterly winds.

Visibility will be 8 to 10 kilometers, decreasing to 2 to 4 kilometers in areas affected by dust.
