Youth-led book exhibition draws interest in Kut

AL-KUT, July 29 — Youth in Kut have organized a book exhibition in the city’s historic center to promote reading during the month of Muharram.

Sarmad Al-Taie, one of the organizers of the exhibition, told 964: “We decided to launch a book exhibition in this area where most of the people of Al-Kut gather during the first ten days of the month of Muharram, and thus, we aim to reach as many people as possible.”

“Those interested can read or borrow books, and all they need to do is leave their phone number to get the book after they finish reading it.”

“The response to the exhibition has been excellent, and we have displayed more than 100 books out of 250, covering topics related to religion, politics, history, arts, and literature.”
