Cloudy skies, scattered thunderstorms expected across Iraq
BAGHDAD – A low-pressure system moving in from the eastern Mediterranean is set to shape Iraq’s weather on Saturday, the Meteorological Authority said.
Forecasters expect partly to mostly cloudy skies, with a chance of light rain and scattered thunderstorms across parts of central Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Temperatures are projected to edge slightly higher than on Friday.
Moderate southeasterly winds of 20–30 km/h are expected in western areas, while winds in other regions will be light and variable.
Horizontal visibility is forecast at 8–10 kilometers, dropping to about 5–7 kilometers in the morning due to haze.
