Iraq sees mostly clear skies Sunday with light winds and mild daytime temperatures
BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Meteorological Authority said Sunday that most parts of the country will experience clear to partly cloudy skies, with clouds increasing over central and southern regions during the day.
In its daily report, the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring said, “The weather today will be clear with some clouds appearing in the sky, increasing over the central and southern regions, causing partly cloudy conditions at intervals.”
The authority said temperatures will be similar to those recorded on Saturday, with a slight rise expected in some areas. “The atmosphere will remain relatively cold during the early morning and nighttime hours and moderate during the day,” the report stated.
Northwesterly winds are expected to be light to moderate, ranging between 10 and 20 kilometers per hour, with occasional calm periods, especially in parts of the northern and western areas of the central region.
Horizontal visibility will generally range between 7 and 8 kilometers, dropping slightly in the early morning due to light fog in some elevated areas, according to the forecast.
