Kirkuk cultural center announces 7th street theater festival
KIRKUK, November 5 — Kirkuk Cultural Center has announced the dates for the 7th edition of the Street Theater Festival, which will run for three days and showcase performances from Italy, Arab countries, and Iraqi regions.
Taking place from November 19th to 21st, the Kirkuk Street Theater Festival will feature acts from Italy, Iran, Syria, Tunisia, Algeria, Sudan, and various Iraqi provinces, including Sulaymaniyah, Erbil, Kirkuk, Basra, Diwaniya, and Karbala.
Najat Najm, the festival’s organizer, said:
“We are making significant efforts to ensure the success of this festival, where we aim to highlight the artistic and theatrical aspects of Kirkuk’s diverse communities. Art is a means to express peace and the spirit of coexistence among the various groups in the region. We have allocated several venues within the city to host 25 theatrical performances, selected from among 67 artistic works. The performances are of three different types of street theater, catering to adults, university students, and children. Additionally, seven pioneering artists will be honored during the event.”
