Cool mornings and nights forecasted across Iraq

BAGHDAD — Iraq is expected to experience clear and stable weather conditions on Sunday morning, with mostly cloud-free skies across the country, according to a report from the Meteorological Authority.

The report said weather in the central and northern regions will gradually shift to partly cloudy by the afternoon and evening, with medium to high-altitude clouds approaching from the west. Southern and eastern sections of the country are expected to remain mostly clear, with some scattered clouds.

Temperatures are expected to remain similar to the previous day, with a slight drop in the northern and southern regions. Conditions will be cool during the morning and night, and moderate during the day. Mountainous areas in the Kurdistan Region will experience noticeable cold.

Winds are forecast to be northwesterly, light to moderate at 10–20 km/h, with periods of calm and shifting patterns in the northeastern and northwestern parts of the country.

Horizontal visibility will range between 8 and 10 kilometers in most regions.
