Clear to partly cloudy weather, slight northern temperature drop forecast

BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Meteorological Authority forecast mostly clear to partly cloudy weather across the country on Wednesday, with a limited chance of light rain in parts of the Kurdistan Region, particularly in Erbil, Duhok, and mountainous areas.

According to the report, skies will be clear with scattered clouds in the morning, becoming partly to mostly cloudy later in the central and northern regions.

Temperatures are expected to remain steady across most governorates, with a slight decrease in the western parts of the north.

Winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate at 10–20 kilometers per hour, occasionally strengthening in eastern areas. In other regions, winds will be southeasterly and light to moderate, with calm periods at intervals.

Horizontal visibility is expected to range between 8 and 10 kilometers in most areas, dropping to between 5 and 7 kilometers in central regions during the morning due to haze and air pollutants.
