BAGHDAD — Police in Baghdad’s Karkh district arrested three people Tuesday following an armed altercation between relatives that left one person dead and two injured, according to a police statement.

Officers from the Al-I’lam Police Station, part of the Karkh Police Command, seized the weapon used in the incident along with two vehicles involved.

The statement said the arrests were made “with high responsiveness” and that “legal measures have been taken against those involved.” It added, “The Karkh Police Command affirms its continued commitment to performing its security duties with determination and will not tolerate anyone who attempts to undermine community safety or stir unrest.”
