Police arrest four in Erbil over alleged home attack, threats
ERBIL — Police in the Erbil governorate have arrested four people accused of attacking a home, issuing threats and causing property damage, officials said.
A statement released by police identified two of the suspects—a father and son from the Khabat district—who allegedly targeted the residence over a social dispute. After a complaint was filed, officers carried out a special operation under judicial orders and apprehended the suspects, who have since been transferred to the courts for legal proceedings.
Video footage released by police appears to show the suspects kicking the door, smashing the entrance and firing shots. Later that night, they allegedly returned to repeat the attack in a crowded residential area.
“In any conflict or dispute, citizens should never resort to violence but instead inform the police,” the statement read.
