Drone falls on house roof in Duhok village, no casualties reported

DUHOK – A drone fell on the roof of a house in the village of Sargale, located in the Duhok’s Deralok area on Tuesday, causing fear among residents but resulting in no casualties, locals reported.

Heywar Star, a resident of Sargale, shared video footage of the incident with 964media. “A short while ago, we heard a loud noise. When we went outside, we saw a drone had fallen on the roof of our neighbor’s house,” Star said.

While the incident caused alarm, no injuries were reported.

According to Star, clashes between the Turkish forces and the PKK have been ongoing in the area for several days, with frequent airstrikes and shelling. Drones have been regularly spotted over the village.

Sargale, part of the Deralok subdistrict in Duhok’s Amedi district, is home to approximately 40 households.

Turkey regularly conducts airstrikes in various areas in the Kurdistan Region, citing the presence of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, known by its Kurdish acronym PKK, which has been waging a war with Turkey over Kurdish rights for decades.
