Noor Al-Huda turns passion for flowers into thriving business

MUTHANNA — Florist Noor Al-Huda Adnan welcomes customers at her shop in Samawah’s Al-Haydariya area of Muthanna governorate with the motto, “flowers… the only language that needs no translator”.

After graduating from engineering department, Noor began selling floral bouquets and customized gifts online, eventually opening her own store later. Today, she caters to weddings, graduation parties, and other varieties of special occasions.

Red roses remain the most popular choice among her clients, despite her suggestions for alternative colors. Her latest trend, wrapping bouquets with Kashmiri shawls, has become attractive, garnering about 10 orders daily.

Speaking to 964media, Noor shared her journey. “Since childhood, I’ve loved flowers and their natural fragrance. After graduating from engineering department, I started a social media page to sell bouquets and offer custom printing on mugs and clothing. After four years, I opened a small shop,” she said.

Noor not only helps customers select and package gifts but also designs arrangements to suit their occasions. “Some customers choose their gifts, and I help wrap and coordinate them with bouquets. Others trust my taste, and I pick items based on the occasion,” she added.

In addition to individual orders, Noor prepares floral decorations for weddings, car decorations, bridal bouquets, birthdays, and graduations. “Flowers have become the language of apology that needs no translation,” Noor said.

The shop’s popularity has inspired many women in the community. “Women often tell me, ‘You’ve motivated us to open our own shops and start working,’” she shared.
