Turkmen front leader accuses security forces of preventing access to event in Lailan

KIRKUK, October 1 — Turkmen Front leader and head of the Iraq Unified Turkmen Front list, Hassan Turan, stated that a force affiliated with the Kirkuk Operations Command prevented his convoy from entering the Lailan district to inaugurate a new hall for the party, considering it a plot to target the Turkmen Front.

The Kirkuk Operations Command prevented the convoy of the leader of the Iraqi Turkmen Front and the head of the Iraq Unified Turkmen Front list from heading to the Lailan district for unjustified reasons.
The convoy was heading to the Lailan district to inaugurate a new hall for the political party, the Iraqi Turkmen Front, in the presence of local residents and the party’s staff.
Retired Brigadier Taurhan Abdulrahman, a candidate on the Iraq Unified Turkmen Front list, was among the delegation heading to the Lailan district.
We sense a plot to target the Iraq Unified Turkmen Front list and to target the will of the Turkmen people.
The actions of the western Nineve Operations Command in preventing Turkmen TV from heading to the Tal Afar district a few days ago are the same as the plot to prevent the Turkmen Front from heading to the Lailan district.
We warn against a repeat of what happened in the 2018 elections, which we revealed during the simulation operations conducted by the Kirkuk Electoral Commission.
