Pharmacist Hadeel Raad opens Tiffany Café in Kut, fostering youth development
WASIT — In the bustling city of Kut, capital of Wasit governorate, young pharmacist Hadeel Raad has expanded her impact beyond the medical field by launching a new venture— a café called Tiffany on Morocco Street. Known for her work as a pharmacist, Hadeel has now channeled her passion for community development into creating a space that promotes personal growth and connection.
Tiffany stands out from typical cafés. Visitors are welcomed by thoughtfully arranged bookshelves featuring works on emotional intelligence, marketing, business management, and effective communication. The cozy atmosphere encourages conversations, with traditional Iraqi oud music often playing as patrons discuss career development, self-improvement, and business ideas.
Hadeel’s vision for Tiffany was born out of her desire to offer something special to the youth of Kut— a place where they can gather, exchange ideas, and build on shared interests. “As a pharmacist, I wanted to create a social space for the youth— a place where they can meet and develop their communication skills. Tiffany is my way of offering that,” she told 964media.
Balancing her role as a pharmacist with this new entrepreneurial endeavor has been challenging but rewarding. “I’ve managed to balance my profession with my personal venture by managing my time well, allowing me to follow my passion for creating a real space for the youth of Kut,” Hadeel explained.
Tiffany has quickly become a hub for personal and professional development. Hadeel has carefully curated a selection of books aimed at young people seeking to improve their skills in areas often overlooked in formal education. “The café is like a seed, planted to nurture communication skills and meet the growing needs of the city’s youth,” she added.
Looking to the future, Hadeel plans to expand and enhance the café to further support the community’s aspirations. “Over time, we will make further improvements to the project to meet the ambitions of the city’s youth and support their self-development,” she said.
