Third annual Hussaini photography exhibition opens in Nasiriyah
NASIRIYAH , September 12 — The third annual Hussaini Photography Exhibition opened on Monday in Nasiriyah, featuring the work of 125 photographers.
The exhibition took place in the courtyard of the Cultural Palace and was organized by the Moment Photography Association, in cooperation with the Iraqi Photography Association in Dhi Qar, under the theme “Hussain Through a Photographic Lens.”
Wissam Ma’araj, the head of the association’s local chapter, said, “We started inviting participants to the exhibition on the first day of Muharram this year. A total of 125 photographers from various governorates participated, showcasing 350 photographs.”
Forty photographs were selected during the second-round of the competition, with three winners announced in the final round.
“The first prize went to photographer Hassan Muslim, while the second and third prizes were awarded to Hassan Ali and Ahmed Kazem from Dhi Qar,” Ma’araj said. “Three prizes were presented to the winners, in addition to a fourth prize awarded by the judging committee.”
