Tuz Khurmatu worker dies in late night incident

TUZ KHURMATU — A resident of Salah Al-Din’s Tuz Khurmatu district has died after a wall collapsed on him while he was working on Thursday night.

According to a source at Tuz Khurmatu public hospital, the incident occurred around 11:00 p.m.

The resident, a 54-year-old worker, was brought to the hospital’s emergency department with severe injuries.

The source told 964media, “Due to his critical condition, he was immediately transferred to Azadi Hospital in Kirkuk.”

Despite medical efforts, he passed away after being at the hospital for more than an hour.

The worker was working night shifts due to high daytime temperatures. While taking a break and attempting to cool off, an old wall collapsed on him, causing severe injuries.
