High-level security delegation arrives in Kirkuk to assess security situation

KIRKUK, September 2 — A high-level security delegation led by the Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, arrived in Kirkuk on Saturday to assess the overall security situation in the governorate.

A statement from the Ministry of Defense said:

Mr. Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, accompanied by his Operations Deputy and the Commander of the Ground Forces, has arrived in the Kirkuk operations area to assess the overall security situation and the deployment of troops.
