Environmental protection campaign launched in Kurdistan’s schools

ERBIL, August 31 — The Environmental Protection and Rehabilitation Authority in the Kurdistan region announced on Wednesday the start of an awareness campaign in schools during the first three days of the new academic year.

School bells are set to ring for the start of the 2023-2024 academic year in Kurdistan on September 13th.

Abdulrazzaq Khailani, Spokesperson for the Environmental Protection and Rehabilitation Authority, told 964:

“We will carry out the awareness campaign in all governorates and districts of the region. Our mobile teams will provide students with information about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the environment and schools, as well as protecting trees and green spaces.”
