Iraq’s central bank reports $250 million in foreign currency sales

BAGHDAD — The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) announced its foreign currency sales on Monday reached approximately $250 million in one-day transactions, according to the official bank rate of 1,310 dinars per U.S. dollar.

The bank’s data revealed that total domestic cash withdrawals amounted to $14.33 million. Meanwhile, total amounts transferred abroad, including remittances and credits, were over $235.6 million. Consequently, total sales hit more than $249.95 million.
