Water supply disruption hits Erbil neighborhoods
ERBIL — The Media and Information Department in the Kurdistan Region announced on Sunday that some neighborhoods in Erbil are experiencing disruptions in their drinking water supply, due to lightning striking the electricity department of the second distribution project. The department has released hotline numbers and encourages residents to reach out for assistance.
In a statement, the department explained, “The halt of clean water production at Erbil’s second distribution project, caused by lightning impacting the project’s electricity department, has led to a water outage in several neighborhoods. To address this, the Erbil Directorate of Water and Sanitation has established two hotlines to facilitate water services in the affected areas. The hotline numbers are 07508515105 and 07504467378, and residents of these neighborhoods are encouraged to call and request assistance as needed.”
