Babil provincial council elects new leadership

BABIL — Members of Babil’s provincial council members voted on Tuesday to appoint senior leadership positions.

Eleven members voted to elect Asaad Al-Muslmawi as president and Hamza Jabar as his vice president.

Additionally, Adnan Fayhan Al-Dulaimi was elected as the governor of Babil, alongside Alaa Al-Aaraji as the first deputy and Ahmed Al-Gharibawi as the second deputy.

The council’s media relations department released a statement, confirming the appointments, and added that Abdul Salam Al-Azzawi was appointed general secretary.
