'Sounds are coalition forces training'
Erbil Airport director denies attack claims
ERBIL, January 31 — Ahmed Hoshyar, the director of Erbil Airport, has dismissed rumors of an attack on the facility, stating that these claims are “far from the truth”. In a statement to 964media, Hoshyar explained that the sounds heard were part of routine training exercises by coalition forces at the Erbil International Airport, describing them as a normal occurrence.
He noted that training exercises by coalition forces typically take place on most Wednesdays within the airport’s vicinity. This clarification comes amid social media allegations suggesting that coalition forces at Erbil Airport were targeted by four drone attacks.
