Over two tons of Iranian biscuits destroyed at Raperin customs

RAPERIN, January 30 — The Raperin Customs Office has incinerated over two tons of Iranian biscuits due to their lack of expiry dates.

Jawher Rasul, director of the office, told 964media, “The destruction of two tons and 130 kilograms of Iranian biscuits was carried out by our office’s disposal committee, in the presence of representatives from the municipality, security, health, and border guards.”

Rasul emphasized that all fruits, food items, and goods must be approved by the Quality Control and Health Committee and pass inspections before entering the region.

Under customs regulations, imported goods are subject to inspection prior to customs clearance. If they fail the inspection, the owner has a week to repatriate the goods. Failure to do so within this timeframe results in their destruction.
