State Company for Oil Products launches payment cards

BAGHDAD January 30 — The State Company for Oil Products, in collaboration with Al-Rafidain Bank, has introduced a payment card service at gas stations, starting Tuesday.

As in a statement received by 964media, Hussein Taleb, the General Manager of the company, unveiled the initiative.

This service, initially launched at the Mansour gas station in Baghdad, features the installation of kiosks where customers can obtain payment cards at no charge. Taleb specified that a national ID and residency card are the only requirements to get a card. He urged citizens to adopt these cards, highlighting the ease of using digital transactions for gasoline purchases. Taleb also mentioned that the service is set to be progressively rolled out across Baghdad and other governorates.
