Employee presumed dead

Civil defense force ends search for Filipina worker

ERBIL, January 23 – Erbil’s Civil Defense Force has announced the end of a search operation for victims in the rubble of businessman Peshrew Dzeyi’s residence, which was subject to an Iranian missile strike last week.

Officials indicated they found human remains possibly belonging to a missing Filipina domestic employee, named by authorities as Michelle.

Civil Defense spokesperson Karwan Mirawdali stated, “We have concluded our work after a detailed search that lasted a week, with 100 percent completion. We handed over all the evidence we found to the concerned authorities, with more than 300 members participating in the process.”

He added, “Unfortunately, we did not find Michelle’s body; we pulled from the rubble the few remnants that might belong to her, which were handed over to relevant authorities for examination.”

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for the missile attack. Several individuals were killed in the bombardment, including Dzeyi and his young daughter. Michelle is presumed to have been killed in the attack as well.
