Central Bank of Iraq reports foreign currency sales exceeding $219 million

BAGHDAD, January 15 — The Central Bank of Iraq announced its foreign currency sales on Sunday had exceeded $219 million in one-day transactions, based on the official rate of 1,310 dinars per U.S. dollar.

Bank data revealed that total cash withdrawals amounted to $10,680,000, while the total amount of transfers abroad, including remittances and credits, reached $209,269,090. Overall sales reached $219,949,090.
