Foreign traveler arrested trying to smuggle drugs at Shalamchah border crossing

BASRA, January 13 — The Border Ports Authority announced on Saturday the arrest of a foreign traveler caught in possession of crystal (Methamphetamine) at the Shalamchah border crossing.


The Shalamchah Border Crossing Directorate successfully apprehended a foreign traveler caught with a quantity of the narcotic substance crystal weighing (265) grams in a failed attempt to smuggle it into the country.

A detailed report was prepared, and the suspect was referred to the Shalamchah Customs Police Center to take appropriate legal measures.
