Iraqi parliament to chose new Speaker in a special session

BAGHDAD, January 11– In an announcement by the Media Department of the Iraqi Parliament, the first session of 2024, scheduled for the upcoming Saturday, has been designated for selecting a new Speaker of Parliament. This session aims to determine the successor to former Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi.
