Security forces disrupt drug trafficking operation in Anbar

ANBAR, January 10 — The National Security Agency announced on Wednesday the arrest of three drug traffickers in Ramadi, with the seizure of 100,000 Captagon pills. They were attempting to distribute them across the country.

Statement:

Based on accurate intelligence and continuous field monitoring, and after obtaining judicial approvals, our forces in Babil governorate, in coordination with the Anbar Security Directorate, successfully carried out a qualitative operation. This led to the arrest of 3 drug traffickers after luring them to Ramadi, capturing them in the act with 100,000 Captagon pills in their possession. The intention was to distribute them among the provinces of the country. However, the vigilance of our heroes thwarted their criminal intentions.

The suspects, along with the seized items, have been referred to the competent judicial authorities to face appropriate legal consequences.
