Zero Breast Cancer Cases in December last year at Sulaymaniyah Clinic

SULAYMANIYAH, January 7 – The Breast Disease Treatment Clinic in Sulaymaniyah reported that out of the 719 patients who visited between December 1 and December 31, 2023, none were diagnosed with breast cancer, according to recent health statistics.

This total included 203 new cases and several returning patients for follow-up visits. The common reasons for visits were breast pain, experienced by 123 patients, and nodules, for which 33 patients sought treatment.

To ensure thorough diagnosis and care, the clinic performed 260 X-rays and 75 ultrasounds during this period. These procedures were integral in assessing the patients’ conditions and ruling out the presence of cancer.

The previous month of November 2023 saw a higher patient count of 1,031, with eight cases of breast cancer confirmed. The December statistics are seen as a positive sign in the ongoing efforts to address and manage breast health issues.
