Iraq’s central bank reports dollar sales exceeding $280 Million
BAGHDAD — The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) announced on Thursday its foreign currency sales in one-day transactions, totaling over $280 million, according to the official exchange rate of 1,310 dinars per U.S. dollar.
The bank’s data reveals that domestic cash withdrawals amounted to $14,800,000. Meanwhile, the total for international transfers, including remittances and letters of credit, reached $265,878,794. This brought the total sales for the day to $280,678,794.
