MP calls for emergency session after attack on PMF

BAGHDAD, January 4 — Sadiqun parliamentary bloc, close to Asaib Ahl al-Haq (AAH), member Salem Hassan called for an emergency parliamentary session on Thursday to discuss the strike on Palestine Street, which targeted a Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) headquarters.

A statement by Salem Hassan:

Salem Hassan, a deputy from the Sadiqun bloc and head of the Martyrs, Victims, and Political Prisoners Committee, called for an emergency parliamentary session on Thursday to discuss the repercussions of the repeated U.S. attacks on Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) locations.

Hassan, in a press statement, urged an emergency session for the parliament following the criminal assault by the U.S. occupation on PMF locations and fighters, resulting in the martyrdom of Deputy Commander of Baghdad Belt Operations, Haj Abu Taqwa Al-Saadi.

Salem emphasized that the repetition of these attacks requires immediate activation of the Iraqi Parliament’s decision to expel U.S. forces from Iraqi territory.
