Kirkuk Criminal Court issues death sentence for convicted ISIS member

KIRKUK, January 4– The Kirkuk Criminal Court has issued a death sentence to a convicted ISIS member accused of orchestrating attacks on army and security forces, resulting in numerous casualties.

The National Security Agency said it worked to uncover and prosecute a network of ISIS sleeper cells, ultimately resulting in a death sentence for one suspect.

Identified as ‘Abu Dajana,’ the suspect admitted his affiliation with ISIS and confessed to planning attacks on markets and participating in various assaults targeting military and security personnel in Kirkuk.

Additionally, the Kirkuk Criminal Court issued life sentences to three other suspects convicted of attacking a checkpoint in the region.
