Ministry of interior unveils security plan for new year celebrations

BAGHDAD, December 30 — The Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday its plan for protecting parks and celebrations during New Year festivities.

The ministry’s spokesperson, Colonel Muqdad Miri, stated in an official announcement:

The ministry’s plan includes preparations and deployment of security forces to secure all vital areas, parks, and locations for celebrations.

Any unlawful actions, whether harassment, trespassing, or excessive use of fireworks, will result in legal measures being taken against the perpetrator.

Security forces will address any violations of the law during New Year celebrations and appropriate actions will be taken against the offenders.
