Al-Sudani congratulates provincial election winners

BAGHDAD, December 20 — Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa’ Al-Sudani congratulated winners of Monday’s provincial council elections in a statement, which read:

I congratulate the political forces and successful candidates of the Provincial Council Elections. I hope this trust quickly transforms into tangible public service, contributing to the implementation of government plans for development, reconstruction, and service provision. We look forward to local government members exercising their legal and constitutional role and they can expect our help and support to meet the aspirations of all Iraqis.
